Retaining Walls That
Hold the Line.

Whether you're terracing a sloped backyard in Lake Zurich or stabilizing a driveway cut in Highland Park, our walls are engineered for the load — and built with the drainage that keeps them standing decade after decade.

Wall Types

Built for the load. Built for the look.

Retaining walls do real engineering work — they have to handle saturated soil, freeze-thaw, and lateral pressure. We build to spec, not to whatever's cheap on the truck.

  • Segmental block walls — Versa-Lok, Allan Block, Belgard
  • Natural stone walls — Lannon, limestone, fieldstone
  • Boulder walls — for naturalized landscape settings
  • Timber walls — pressure-treated, structurally engineered
  • Tiered & terraced walls — for steep grade changes
  • Seat walls & planter walls — finishing touches for patios

What's behind the wall matters

The visible block is maybe 15% of a real retaining wall. Here's what we put behind it:

  • Compacted base trench, leveled to spec
  • Geogrid reinforcement on walls over 4 ft
  • Drain tile + clean stone backfill
  • Filter fabric to prevent silt clogging
  • Engineered drainage to daylight
